SuperSport has confirmed that all 52 matches of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will be shown live across the continent, giving football fans uninterrupted access to Africa’s biggest international tournament.
The broadcaster will roll out a special AFCON pop up channel dedicated solely to the competition. Viewers can tune in on DStv channel 202 and GOtv channel 59 as the tournament unfolds in Morocco.
AFCON 2025 gets underway on Sunday night when hosts Morocco face Comoros at 8:00pm, setting the tone for three weeks of intense football action and continental rivalry.
Attention then shifts to Monday’s fixtures, with Mali taking on Zambia at 3:00pm, South Africa squaring off against Angola at 6:00pm, and record seven time champions Egypt opening their campaign against Zimbabwe at 9:00pm.
Tuesday is expected to be one of the standout days for Nigerian supporters as the Super Eagles begin their AFCON journey against Tanzania at 6:30pm. Earlier matches will see DR Congo face Benin at 1:30pm, defending champions Senegal meet Botswana at 4:00pm, before Tunisia close the day against Uganda at 9:00pm.
Nigeria’s opener is already being tipped as a key early test, with fans hopeful of a strong start in what many consider a favourable group.
The opening round of matches will wrap up on Wednesday December 24. Burkina Faso face Equatorial Guinea at 1:30pm, Algeria play Sudan at 4:00pm, Ivory Coast clash with Mozambique at 6:30pm, and Cameroon round off the night against Gabon at 9:00pm.
Even before a ball has been kicked, AFCON 2025 has generated plenty of talking points. Cameroon have drawn attention over squad selection issues, while Ghana’s failure to qualify has sparked widespread debate among fans across Africa.
SuperSport has also announced an Open Access window during the tournament. Viewers on DStv Yanga and GOtv Jolli packages and above will be able to watch AFCON matches without needing to upgrade their subscriptions.
With an active subscription, fans will also have access to major European competitions throughout the festive period, including the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, ensuring a packed football schedule for viewers across Africa.
